Erik Johnson, SIOR, CCIM
Erik has resided in Texas since 1974. Raised in Abilene and a graduate of Abilene High School, Erik went on to receive his BA in Advertising from The University of Texas at Arlington. His first exposure to real estate came after becoming licensed in 1990. After 12 years serving as General Manager of a local retail/wholesale company, he joined Paul Johnson & Associates in February 2004. During the first couple years with the company, he achieved a Master’s equivalent in commercial real estate Finance by earning his CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) in Vancouver, British Columbia. In February 2007 he earned his Texas Real Estate Broker’s License.
As of June 1, 2010 Erik earned his SIOR designation. The SOCIETY OF INDUSTRIAL AND OFFICE REALTORS® is the leading professional commercial and industrial real estate association. With more than 3,000 members in more than 580 cities in 26 countries, SIOR represents today’s most knowledgeable, experienced, and successful commercial real estate brokerage specialists. Erik is the only SIOR Designee between Fort Worth and Lubbock.
In addition to Commercial Sales, Leasing, Buyer/Tenant Representation, Erik also offers real estate investment consultation. To date, he has a combined total sales and leases over $10M. He has leased and sold over 5.4 million square feet of property.
His business and community involvements include the 2009-2010 Abilene Business Council Board; 2009 Commercial Chair for the Realtors Commercial Alliance of the Abilene Board of Realtors. Abilene Chamber of Commerce Leadership Abilene class of 1998. He is a current member of and served on the Board of Directors of the Rotary Club of Abilene and was the 2008 Rotarian of the Year. At St John’s Episcopal School he served as President of the Board of Trustees and was also a Board Member at the Center for Contemporary Arts.
Erik is married to Jill and they have three children.
